3 cups flour 1 1/4 c. shortening 1/8 t. salt 1 egg beaten well with 1T vinegar and 5T cold water. Mix together and roll onto floured surface to desired size. May need to flour top to keep rolling pin from sticking. Easily makes 2 large pie crusts and may stretch to 3 average size.

If you want boiling salted water, add the salt after water has come to a boil. Salted water takes longer to come to a boil than unsalted water. Remember this when cooking pasta. You can remove that red wine stain after all, although the sooner you get it out after spilling it, the more success
You can make this ahead of time and freeze. 3c. peeled chopped apples 2c. cranberries 1-1/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. flour Mix above ingredients together and pour into 2 quart casserole Topping: 1 stick melted butter 1-1/2 c. quick oats 1/3 c. nuts (pecans) Crumble topping over apple/cranberry mixture Bake 325-350
